The Company
Headquartered in Montgomery, Alabama, All Clear Diagnostics and Calibration is a leading provider of diagnostic solutions and services to the collision repair industry. The Company provides mobile automotive electronic services at the customer’s site.
Primary Purpose of the Position
The Accounting Support Specialist will work closely with the Lead Accounts Receivable Specialist and Bookkeeper to support both Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions. The ideal candidate for this role possesses strong organizational skills, an eye for precision, and strong logic and problem-solving skills.
Essential Functions
- Posting payments to customer accounts.
- Balancing and reconciling accounts between multiple programs.
- Researching payment/invoice discrepancies.
- Cross-referencing documentation.
- Answering customer account balance questions via telephone and email.
- Generating and sending monthly statements to customers.
- Managing maintaining a running list of customer email addresses for monthly statements.
- Entering credit card transactions.
- Reconciling credit card charges against submitted expense receipts.
- Other job duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Required Skills and Abilities
- Strong customer service skills, including problem-solving, attentiveness, and conflict resolution.
- Aptitude for tasks that involve patterns, data, and process improvements.
- Comfortable in roles that require repetition or deep immersion in projects.
- Ability to work within departmental deadlines.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Ability to work well independently but able to work collaboratively in a structured environment when required.
- Ability to pivot between tasks as needed.
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- A minimum of 3 years of accounting experience is required.
- Previous experience reconciling accounts is preferred.
- Proficient in the Office Suite, including Microsoft Excel.
- Experience in QuickBooks is preferred.
- Experience in Net Suite is a plus.
Reports to: Lead Accounts Receivable Specialist and Bookkeeper
Location: Montgomery, Alabama
Supervisory Responsibility: This position has no direct reports.
FLSA Status: This position is exempt.
Work Environment: This job will operate out of the corporate office in Montgomery 4-5 days a week, with some remote work opportunities.
Physical Requirements: This position may require lifting and carrying up to 15 pounds at times. This position requires prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Travel: Travel is not a requirement of this role.
