FAQs
ADAS stands for Advanced Driver Assistance Systems and refers to automotive technologies designed to enhance the driving experience while maximizing on-road safety and reducing the risk of accidents. From sensors to radar systems, ADAS acts as a second set of eyes for drivers.
We recommend scheduling services every time you perform bodywork on a customer's vehicle or when repairs have been undertaken following a collision. Our technicians are trained to identify when an ADAS recalibration is required. Of course, ADAS services will also be required to diagnose and resolve the issue if a customer experiences any symptoms of ADAS failure.
While uncalibrated, ADAS may function. However, the uncertainty and potential lack of accuracy can result in major safety hazards. For example, misaligned cameras can produce incorrect readings, increasing the risk of accidents. We do not recommend your customers drive without properly calibrated sensors.
The consequences of an uncalibrated ADAS system can range from minor—such as driver frustration—to severe safety risks that can compromise the well-being of drivers, passengers, and pedestrians. Therefore, it’s critical that collision centers have the skills, know-how, and confidence to diagnose, repair, and calibrate these systems quickly and efficiently to stringent original equipment manufacturer standards.
OEM stands for Original Equipment Manufacturer calibration. Components are calibrated to the highest quality to meet the manufacturer's original specifications.
At All Clear Diagnostics and Calibration, we aim to diagnose, repair, and calibrate systems swiftly to get your customers back on the road. However, the time needed to complete this work will vary depending on the ADAS system type and the nature of the issue.
